As of January 1st, 2013, Fundy Region Solid Waste became part of the Fundy Regional Service Commission

The Fundy Regional Service Commission serves the City of Saint John, the Towns of Rothesay, Quispamsis and Grand Bay-Westfield, the Village of St Martins and the Local Service Districts of Fairfield, and parishes of Greenwich, Kingston, Musquash, Petersville, Rothesay, Saint Martins, Simonds and Westfield.

Fundy Region Solid Waste is responsible for solid waste disposal and diversion in the Greater Saint John area.  Fundy Region Solid Waste manages the Crane Mountain Landfill, the recycling, compost and household hazardous waste programs. We are a non-profit organization governed by the Fundy Regional Service Commission, and we are funded solely through the various tipping fees at the landfill.

Each municipal government and local service district is responsible for residential solid waste pick up.  In Quispamsis and Grand Bay-Westfield residents must contact a private hauler.
